I am a professional status, highly-qualified, certified middle school mathematics teacher, as well as a certified middle school generalist teacher.

I hold an undergraduate degree in business and a master's in education from Lesley University. The latter was earned while serving at the Watertown Middle School as a permanent building substitute and then as a Title I Math Tutor. I then took a mid-year replacement position in Medford Public Schools and taught 6th grade math for 3.5 years, after which I decided to return to the business world for five years. I came back to teaching in 2010 when I rejoined the faculty at Watertown Middle School as a 6th grade math teacher. I taught 6th grade for five years, and 6th and 7th for one year. I am now in my 8th year back at WMS teaching only 7th grade math.

In addition to being in my fourteenth year of teaching in middle schools, I have been: on our school site council, a cluster leader, and a best practices school and study group facilitator. I have delivered, over the course of ten sessions during the 2013-2014 school year, professional development training to the district's math department in understanding and implementing the standards of mathematical practice. I have also delivered professional development to elementary and middle school teachers in the topics of flipped/blended learning and differentiation.

Prior to teaching, I held financial, management, logistics, and sales positions in HVAC, non-profit health care consulting, real estate, and biotech.

My daughter and I are both proud graduates of Watertown Public Schools. I currently reside in the area with my wonderful husband, who is a Network Manager at NetScout, and our two cats. Our daughter is a member of the Massachusetts Bar and is an Assistant Vice President at Citizens Bank. She and her husband, reside in the area.

I am beyond thrilled to be serving the students and families of the Watertown community!
