FAQ

We have a classroom set of books for each of our seven CMP3 units. The books are available online for homework.

Will I receive a math book?

You will have homework most nights. Plan to do an average of 20 minutes of math homework each night if you are an average math student. Studying for assessments and project work may take longer on those nights. If you are absent, you have the same number of days to make up work as you were absent. If you are not absent and miss an assignment, you may turn it in late for reduced credit. Please see the cluster policy for more details.

Will I have homework each night?

You may never retake a quiz. However, a unit test may be able to be taken again if you score considerably below your usual performance level and extenuating circumstances caused this to occur. If you feel this has taken place, please come see me, and I will decide if you will be able to retake the test.

Are there retake opportunities for assessments?

You will receive progress reports roughly bi-weekly, as well as a report card at the end of each of the four quarters.

How will I know how I am doing?

Yes. There is Library Learning Lab in the school's library three days per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday), and it is staffed by teachers. This usually begins in late September or early October. In addition, there is help during Thursday Activity Period in my room. Please let me know if you plan to attend.
